A new view from life

Ben's family came up from Utah last weekend for his cousin's wedding. (We now know that our living room floor has a five-person capacity.) It was a nice deadline that forced us to unpack enough bins to make it look as if we lived here. Ben spent hours and hours putting together a wall of IKEA shelves/drawers/tv space. It's quite impressive.

Today we spent the morning cycling around downtown with stops at the Farmers Market and library. Portland is less flat and more interesting as it seems by car.

Not a bad place to call home.

SOME OF OUR FAVORITE PORTLAND NUMBERS
• Rubbermaid bins to haul our stuff to Portland: 32
• Trips to IKEA thus far: 9
• Streetcar stops from our front door to school/work: 9
• Blocks to church: 11 (two stops on the streetcar)
• Bus drivers Jenica knows by name: 2
• Times per day we’ve called friends from Eugene: 0.86

Hey Jenica,
Love the blog site! Neat to see other things we missed while visiting you... course there wasn't time for everything. I don't know, we probably could have squeezed more people into the living room if needed... you had plenty more floor space!
Love ya, mom
